Mick Avory on drums and vocals who also played at the 1966 Ritz gig

John Dalton on bass guitar and vocals

Ian Gibbons on keyboards and vocals plus

Dave Clarke on lead guitar and vocals who previously worked with The Beach Boys.

The Mersey Beatles headline Beatles Valentines Fest on Sunday 14 February2016

Above: The Mersey Beatles at Liverpool's Cavern Club where they were the resident band for over 10 years until world wide demand forced them to give up

Just before jetting off for the first of four U.S.A concert tours in 2016, The Mersey Beatles will perform a special intimate gig at the Hare & Hounds on Sunday 14 February to close the 53rd Anniversary Celebration of the 1963 Birmingham debut of The Beatles at the now burnt down Ritz Ballroom next door to the Hare & Hounds on York Road.

Described by the British Beatles Fan Cub as "the Best Beatles tribute band", The Mersey Beatles were all born and grew up in Liverpool. They were the resident band at the legendary Cavern Club for over 10 years and now regularly tour throughout Europe and the U.S.A. Later in 2016 they will return to Liverpool to perform at two special shows at the Epstein Theatre.

John Lennon's sister Julia Baird comparing them to other Beatles tribute bands said 'The Mersey Beatles are the most authentic I've heard ... and I've heard them all'.

A British Beatles Fan Club review said 'The quality of the music was superb with each song reproduced in the original key with spot-on harmonies and perfect guitar solos that had the audience marvelling at the sheer quality of the talent on view'.

Joe Flannery, Brian Epstein's assistant, said 'When I saw them in The Cavern they perfectly recreated the atmosphere that the original Beatles produced. It was like listening to The Beatles again'.
